Socks for Stories!

Come check out the Resilience Gives unique pop-up store at Christiana Mall to bring a bit of warmth to children with cancer!

There is a lot about fighting cancer that is unpleasant to say the least and two cancer survivors are on a national tour to bring that warmth to those children. Jake Teitelbaum and co-owner Lexi Corrion are taking their custom, sock-covered Airstream trailer to sell these socks designed by pediatric cancer patients to raise awareness as well as provide free socks to children fighting cancer.

Their company, Resilience Gives, works with pediatric cancer patients to design cozy socks inspired by their experiences and then manufactures them. For every pair purchased, one pair is donated to a child battling cancer. The tour, which began in October, will donate thousands of socks and interview families impacted by pediatric cancer. In each of the seven city stops, they’re fueling donations to childrens’ hospitals by running high-energy pop-up stores out of the eye-catching Airstream in shopping areas near hospitals. Through these sales and subsequent donations, Jake and Lexi are bringing warmth to families both inside and outside of the hospital through their “socks with stories” movement.
